Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to the most common questions about becoming a sperm donor with Premier Sperm Donors in Copenhagen.

1How much can I earn as a sperm donor?

You can earn up to 6,500 DKK per month as a sperm donor with Premier Sperm Donors. The exact amount depends on your donation frequency and schedule. We offer competitive compensation that reflects the value of your contribution to helping families.

2What are the requirements to become a sperm donor?

You must be between 18-40 years old, in good health, and pass our comprehensive medical and psychological screening. We also require you to live within 25km of our Copenhagen facility and commit to regular donations for at least 6 months.

3How often do I need to donate?

Ideally, we recommend donating 2-3 times per week. This helps maintain optimal sperm quality and ensures consistent compensation. We work with your schedule to find convenient appointment times that fit your lifestyle.

4Is the donation process anonymous?

At Premier Sperm Donors, we work with ID-released donors – previously known as open donors. As an ID-released donor, you are always anonymous to the women and couples who use your sperm for fertility treatment. However, donor-conceived children can, if they wish, be given access to your identity once they reach a certain age — typically 16 or 18 years old, depending on the regulations in each country. We ensure that you receive full information about this before deciding whether to become a donor.

5What medical tests are required?

We conduct comprehensive health screenings including genetic testing, blood work, and psychological evaluations. These tests ensure the health and safety of both donors and recipients. All testing is provided at no cost to you.

6How long is the commitment?

We ask for a minimum commitment of 6 months to ensure consistency for our recipient families. This allows us to build a reliable supply and helps families who may need multiple donations for siblings.

7What are the legal implications?

In Denmark, sperm donors have no legal rights or responsibilities toward children conceived with their donations. All legal agreements are clearly explained before you begin the process, and we recommend seeking independent legal advice if you have questions.

8Is my privacy protected?

Yes, we maintain strict confidentiality protocols. Your personal information is protected according to Danish data protection laws. Only essential medical staff have access to your information, and it's used solely for the donation program.
